Big Heart Healing Arts is an east-west framework & space for energywork & bodywork
Genuine presence and listening to the bodymind are the highest skills we offer and continuously hone.
Ever grateful to family, clients, teachers, friends, guides and all that is as I participate in this work of body-mind-emotion-energy-spirit. Lucky mother of 3 extraordinary daughters, wife of my big-hearted bff, Eric Stillman, and matriarch of 2 doggies and a kitty cat. My family is at the forefront of my life while in service to community. I spent much of my adulthood full-speed in both entrepreneurial and corporate roles, eventually experiencing catalysts of profound joy & deep grief that steered me toward a community focus and the healing arts as a profession. Practicing professionally since 2014 and holding space for Big Heart Healing Arts, I’ve learned the balance range of effort and ease is the sweetest spot of all.

Twenty years ago, Alissa met her decade-long mentor, Minga Lily, who, through Thai Yoga Therapy and health coaching, helped her experience healing from chronic illness, inspiring her study of Thai Yoga Therapy extensively in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The power of the Thai meridian work led to her study of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chinese medical massage (Tui Na). Personal experience with CranioSacral Therapy initiated her own healing to jump to a new level, leading to multiple and ongoing trainings with the Upledger Institute. Facilitating & witnessing her clients’ dramatic shifts and deep healing through a combination of the 3 complementary modalities, Thai Yoga Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy and Acupressure, is deeply rewarding. In her private life Alissa enjoys West-African drumming, yoga, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing and being in nature with her husband and identical twin daughters.
Available for Thai Massage (Thai Yoga Therapy) with Acupressure and CranioSacral Therapy
Over the course of my life I have sought and dedicated myself to explore ancient and deep pathways of enquiry, disciplines and practices which open us to come into contact with the mysterious source and ground of our being. In such encounters, we are drawn to be present not only to the mystery of our own being, but to experience a healing and transformative recognition of the continuity of our being with the sacred source of life itself that supports us and connects us in the vast continuum of life. In my work in and practice of the subtly powerful and profound healing art, Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy, I offer to hold, witness and support others in their healing process of coming into contact with an embodied remembering of this deep ground and source of healing. It is beautiful and powerful work, I feel graced to support and witness.
In this work I draw on my pursuit and experience of different pathways of healing, and on the ancient and living wisdom of many teachers, teachings and disciplines, including most recently a two-year training with Franklyn Sills and Cherionna Menzam-Sills at the Karuna Institute in England, as well as years of teaching, study and practice in various strands of yoga and meditation, purification and subtle energy healing. These include branches of kundalini and hatha yoga, shamanic yoga, SourcePoint Therapy® energy healing, and various forms of meditation including vipassana. In all my work I learn from and am inspired by the sacred presence of nature and all our creature kin, the gift of love and friendship, my life-long love of poetry, language, music, dance and the human search for meaning, justice and truth.
Available for Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and SourcePoint Therapy® energywork.

Mira draws from a deep well of knowledge and compassion, with key beliefs that: Awareness is the key to happiness. You can learn (at any age) to BE with bigger feelings. Everyone deserves to know how to anchor their energy and to feel grounded, confident and at ease. And life is supposed to be fun.
In her own words, “as a developmental therapist traveling through India in the mid-nineties I discovered the practice of yoga to be an exquisite way for both children and adults to integrate their sensory experiences while cultivating awareness, balance, stability and openness in both body and mind. This initial insight sparked a passion that continues to burn brightly as I share the timeless teachings of yoga with students of all ages and abilities.” Mira co-founded and still serves Global Family Yoga, a vibrant and leading-edge international program that trains teachers to instruct yoga practices to families and children “comprising conscious breathing, mindful moving, meditation and deep relaxation. Yoga is the science of life. It includes how we eat, sleep, interact with others and think about the world. Bringing more awareness to all that we do and all that we are places us in the driver’s seat of our life.“ Diving yet deeper into the therapies of iRest Yoga Nidra and aromatherapy, Mira became iRest certified in 2014, and beginning with personal use in 1995, she has been educating people on the use of pure plant power in the form of essential oils for more than a decade. This range of wellness strategies is deep and wide, inspiring true personal empowerment.
